HOME decor is an artform for many, and one woman has shared the secret to her bathroom makeover while on a dollar store budget.

A DIY and lifestyle creator revealed to viewers on TikTok how she achieved a designer-status bathroom floor for only $12.

DIY and lifestyle fan Ash, known as badashbadashchick on Tiktok, uses the platform to share with her viewers unboxing videos, a day in her life and what she likes to buy.

Ash recently moved into a new apartment and decided to transform her bathroom without breaking the bank.

She details the process of her home hack and how she used dollar store items to spruce up her bathroom in a TikTok video

The whole project cost her just $12.

Appropriately captioned "My place is coming together slowly but surely," Ash's video takes viewers on a quick tour of how she turned her apartment bathroom from drab to fab by changing up the floor.

The video starts off with Ash showing viewers how her bathroom looked previously, with plain white tile floors, a white toilet, and a plush pink carpet.

"I moved into my apartment in October, and I honestly hated how the bathroom floor looked, so I went over to Family Dollar and I actually found a 20-pack of self-stick tiles for $12," the content creator says.

The self-stick tiles are the opposite of Ash's previous ones with a vinyl finish and polished look.

Ash claims in the video that the entire process took her only two hours to complete.

The products she used to redo her bathroom floor are everyday items you may already have at home: a white eyeliner pencil, an X-Acto craft knife, and a sharp pair of scissors.

Ash used the Ash used Nexus Self-adhesive Vinyl Floor Tiles, $12, Family Dollar, to transform her bathroom floor in her apartment

In the video, Ash says that she did make a couple of mistakes laying down the tiles but just covered them up with cute black rugs to conceal any errors.

Many people in the comment section of the video praised her for her ingenious idea.

"You helped your landlord…I wish apartments did more updating," one viewer commented.

"Wow, I hate my bathroom area and it’s pretty small! Def using this idea. Thanks sis," another added in support.

"This looks so good! You can also add caulk to fix any mistakes on the edges too!" one user offered up as advice.
