Style from the ground up!

As shopping editors, we do our best to stay on top of all home-centric trends. One recent craze we’ve noticed taking over the most stylish spaces? Amazon Moroccan-inspired rugs. Colorful, patterned, and steeped in centuries worth of cultural tradition, area rugs from one of Africa’s northernmost countries are having a big moment right now. If you’re someone who likes to keep their home in vogue, you may want to swap out your current floor covering for one of these extravagant finds.

Before you start scrolling for your dream Amazon Moroccan rug, though, know that there are a lot (and we mean a lot) of different types, all of which hail from various parts of the country. Azilal rugs, for instance, often feature shapes on a bright background. Beni Ourain rugs, on the other hand, are mostly hand-knotted using un-dyed natural wool and are simpler in their design.

So if you’re eager to score a Moroccan rug, now is your chance. On top of that, Amazon’s highly-anticipated two-day Prime Early Access Sale is taking place between October 11th and 12th and we suspect several of these styles will drop in price. Check back here for all the updates and happy shopping!

We're still trying to figure out how this machine-washable indoor/outdoor rug is just $31, but we're not complaining. Hand-knotted cotton, polyester, and 10 viscose make this unique find extra-durable, so it's perfect for high-traffic areas.

When nuLOOM opened its own storefront on Amazon, we shamelessly did a little dance. Made in Turkey with 100% polypropylene yarn, this Moroccan-inspired rug is kid and pet-friendly.

We love this tasseled rug because it's half shaggy and half low-pile, making it extremely cozy underfoot. Plus, the warm-toned neutrals are giving us desert vibes in the best way. It does come in three additional colors, too.

Another find from nuLOOM, the Lila rug boasts more of a feminine feel than the first one, but we still love it—especially because it is available in not one, not two, but 13 sizes and two colors. If you choose the white one, be sure to clean it regularly to avoid easy-to-see stains.

This machine-washable rug comes in multiple sizes, colors, and patterns, but we're gravitating toward the Moroccan Diamond in the warm brown-orange hue. It may be inspired by Morocco, but we're getting Wild West vibes.

Practical benefits aside, a black rug featuring a simple and striking design is the easiest way to add a touch of drama to your space. And even if you don't commit to cleaning it very often, you'll hardly notice any dirt on this gorgeous find.

If you're going for a shag rug, go big. There's nothing more eye-catching than a voluminous area rug decked in bright colors, right? Pro tip, if you want to avoid your shag rug going flat, vacuum it regularly.

Loloi II's Jocelyn rug is perhaps the most literal take on a classic Moroccan rug. From the muted colors to the ancient motifs, it is easily one of our favorites. You can even layer it atop a neutral-toned jute rug.

We did a quick double-take when we noticed the price of this Kimode area rug. The highly detailed pattern, earth tones, and medium-pile are hard to resist. Plus, it's machine washable!

Authentic Moroccan rugs are often made of super-durable wool, making them some of the best-quality rugs around. When you're buying a Moroccan-inspired rug, check the materials and look for wool and polyester. Those will last the longest.

While there is certainly an abundance or rugs in Morocco, you don't have to travel far to pick up a stunning rug for your home. Plenty of retailers either import Moroccan rugs or create Moroccan-inspired options.
