After Cardi B appeared on the red carpet of the 2021 American Music Awards wearing a pure gold mask, fans were confused.
On Sunday, when the celebrity entered the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, the singer who hosted this year's event posed twice on the red carpet.
In the first example, Cardi can be seen posing in a black and floor-length dress with a sequined leopard pattern.
However, the singer then changed into her second outfit of the night. Cardi wore a Schiaparelli strapless dress, golden mask, personalized earrings and black veil to speak to reporters before the ceremony.
On Twitter, this look surprised the audience. Many people were confused by the singer's mask, while others found the costume very interesting.
"Cardi girl, you look so good," one netizen wrote on Twitter.

When talking with reporters, Cardi B promised that the audience can expect more changes in clothing.
