An excellent choice to automate the entire cleaning and mopping process of hard floors.

Dreametech W10 is a smart 2-in-1 robotic vacuum cleaner with an automatic mop cleaning and drying system that can be cleaned as planned for several weeks before any attention is needed. If most of your floors are not carpeted, then W10 may be a great addition to your home.

If a robot can vacuum and mop the floor automatically, fill its water tank with clean water when needed, and then wash, dry and clean its own mop pad...what will happen if you do it yourself? Mopping the floor is no longer a chore.

The market for smart robot vacuum cleaners has become so saturated that similar options with similar functions are available to choose from, that it is difficult to decide which one is right for your home. Although this helps reduce the price of robotic vacuum cleaners, there is not much innovation in providing a better or easier cleaning experience. Automatic cleaning according to a user-defined schedule is now standard, but what's the next step?

It's not cheap, but with W10's new advanced self-cleaning base and impressive mopping capabilities, Dreamebot is helping to reshape the future of robot vacuum cleaning. If your hard floor keeps getting dirty, W10 can completely eliminate most of the need for mopping. We are one step closer to a completely autonomous home clean future.

Due to the flatter front face that is different from the typical circular design, W10 has an extra-wide roll brush of 19.2 cm (7.56 inches), which provides a wider coverage compared to the usual (17 cm/7 inch) brushes of other models.

You can choose to vacuum and mop, vacuum or mop.

It should be noted that in the vacuum + mopping or mopping mode, the vacuum will be limited to hard surfaces. If you are like me and don't want to remove the mop pad every time you want to vacuum the carpet, I actually recommend this system for most hard-surfaced floors.

There are 4 levels of suction to help with deeper cleaning and larger debris. If you want longer battery life or quieter operation, you can also choose a smaller suction power.

This is an average-sized trash can that can be left for several weeks before it needs to be emptied.

The mop is made of multiple layers of composite materials, more like a standard mop than a mop pad. They can rotate at a speed of 180RPM under a continuous downward pressure of 10N. They can effectively clean lighter dirt on hard floors, including dust, dirt and liquids.

You can choose from three different water volume options in the app according to the level of cleanliness required.

At the bottom of the tower, you will find a separate 4 liter (1.06 gallon) water tank for clean and dirty water. The mop is washed and soaked from the first tank, while the dirty water is collected in the second tank.

If the battery is low, the vacuum cleaner will pause and automatically resume its cleaning cycle.

After each cleaning cycle, or after cleaning the set square feet, the mop pad is automatically cleaned and dried with 104°F air. This process is not too loud or annoying, but when you get close, when the dryer is turned on and Keurig brews coffee during the water cycle, it sounds like a small jet is taking off.

The LiDAR sensor on the top of the device maps the floor, determines the most effective cleaning path, and detects obstacles; the ultrasonic sensor below can identify the carpet and prevent the vacuum from falling from the edges. You can save up to three different floor maps, but when you move the robot to other places, you need to manually choose between them.

The vacuum can easily overcome obstacles up to 18 mm (0.71 inches). This is especially useful when crossing thresholds, different surfaces, and in my case a light standing foot.

In the energy-saving mode, the vacuum cleaner can run for up to 210 minutes on a single charge. The vacuum cleaner is charged quickly and can resume its cleaning cycle without spending too much time on the dock.

Due to the large self-cleaning water tank base of Dreamebot W10, the system is housed in a huge and heavy box.

You will find the following:

Although the packaging is very large, the unpacking experience still feels high-quality and very simple. Even if this is your first robotic vacuum cleaner, the setup process will only take a few minutes due to the easy-to-understand illustrated instructions.

The all-white plastic finish of the vacuum cleaner and the base gives it a very stylish and modern appearance, helping it blend in with your walls and rooms. The overall build quality feels very solid. I accidentally dropped the vacuum cleaner from chest height onto the carpeted floor, and it was undamaged. The base is about half the size of a standard kitchen waste bin. If you wish, it can be placed under most tables and counters. Even if it cannot be hidden, it will not cause too much eye pain because of its futuristic atmosphere.

In addition to the automatic mop cleaning and drying function discussed, there are two buttons on the top of the base, one to start or pause the cleaning cycle, and the other to return the vacuum to the base. This is useful because you don't have to bend over to select these options on the vacuum itself, and, for example, if you want to end the cleaning cycle early but don't want to find or enter the vacuum, you can do it fundamentally.

The base is not the only new thing in this system. Compared with the usual circular robot vacuum cleaner, Dreamebot W10 introduces a unique D shape, which can help the vacuum cleaner come into closer contact with the edges and corners for better cleaning.

The new mop design allows you to clean more thoroughly and more powerfully. They are magnetically attached to the bottom of the vacuum and face the back. In the app, you have more mop-specific cleaning settings, including the option to mop the floor twice if additional attention is required. The mopping mode is suitable for lighter spills and chaos, but still does not provide enough strength to deal with sticky or solidified areas. Some areas on my floor cannot be vacuumed, so I had to take a damp cloth and use a little elbow grease to remove it. This shouldn't be too surprising. Running this vacuum cleaner directly after the initial leak/accident or running it regularly should help prevent these messes from getting out of control.

We recently saw the introduction of a robot vacuum cleaner with automatic emptying of the trash can and also for mopping the floor. Some people can actually do both, but in my experience, the mopping function of every vacuum cleaner I tested always feels like an afterthought. Normally, it is a situation of "Let's throw a small water tank and a simple mop pad and call it a day".

Due to their fairly simple design, these vacuum mops are best for handling lighter spills and mess, or just to give your floor extra shine and cleanliness after a regular vacuum cycle. This may not be a deal breaker, but for me, the bigger problem is always related to the amount of settings required before the mop function is ready for use. If you have ever used these mop functions, you will know that they cannot be easily set to run on an automatic schedule compared to the vacuum-only mode, because. This is because their small tanks usually limit them to one cleaning cycle and then require you to refill them manually...that is, assuming you remember or even disdain to like me, it is very rare in most cases.

In addition, after completing the cleaning cycle, you now have a dirty mop pad on the bottom of your vacuum cleaner. Similarly, if you just use the mopping function in combination with cleaning, instead of actually dealing with spills and other dirt, this is not a big problem. On the other hand, suppose you have an annoying spill, such as ketchup, which you did not notice, and now you have tracked it everywhere on the floor.

Especially if its concentration is higher, the typical mop vacuum will struggle with this and may cause even greater confusion. First, because they are not smart enough to clean and wet the mop pad again during the cleaning cycle, and because dragging a damp cloth behind the vacuum cleaner is not that effective. W10 rotates two mopping mats to make sure they really clean up the mess.

Most importantly, once the cleaning cycle is complete, you will be left with a dirty mop pad soaked in sauce, which still touches your floor. I like to have a robot vacuum cleaner, which can also replace my housework for mopping, but it lacks effective cleaning performance and the required setup time and cleaning time, which makes it better than picking up my handheld mop or Swiffer and getting it It is even more inconvenient for me to do it myself. Dreamebot W10 solves all these problems and makes robot mopping a practical and simple solution.

In order to make the robotic vacuum mop an effective tool and eliminate the need for any manual input, the mopping process, the refilling of the water tank, and the cleaning of the actual mop pad should all be fully automated. Dreamebot W10 is the first sweeping robot of its kind that has these three functions at the same time.

Dreamebot W10 gives up the automatic emptying of the trash bin and adopts a more complex mopping system, which not only can better clean your hard floors, but also can completely complete most of the usually required mop pad installation and maintenance work from your hands. . After I tested W10 for several weeks, I was impressed by the number of new features they packaged into the system. After the initial setup, the vacuum basically handles the rest.

This quality vacuum system is almost perfect, and for many users, it is one of the best sweeping/mopping options currently available. It does a good job of navigating and cleaning my entire floor, but there are deficiencies in several categories that can truly make it a fully automated solution.

Within 5 minutes of unboxing, I started and ran the vacuum cleaner to perform an initial scan of my floor layout. Remove all plastic from the base and vacuum cleaner, as well as the two foam side protectors on the front bumper. Next, connect the side brush to the bottom of the vacuum. Do not install mop pads for the time being, because the initial operation of the vacuum cleaner is just a quick scan to map the room layout, not the actual cleaning cycle. Before turning on everything, you need to decide where to place the base.

This is where things get a bit interesting and may require some extra thinking. The first floor I started to test was a mix of tile and hardwood floors, separated by a large carpeted room. I thought I could hide the base under the desk in the office without even thinking about it. This is great for vacuum only mode, but as I learned later, if you want it to operate in a mopping mode, the base needs to be on a hard surface (not carpet). This is part of a larger limitation that I will discuss later.

After downloading the Mijia app, you can use the QR code in the quick start guide or the dustbin of the vacuum cleaner to quickly connect the vacuum cleaner to your account and Wi-Fi.

The application is simple and intuitive. You can customize your cleaning plan, cleaning mode and create special mapping rules.

In most cases, the cleaning performance and function are top-notch. As I shared, this is a very innovative vacuum cleaner that almost completely automates the regular mopping process. However, it does have some deficiencies in achieving the level of autonomy I want.

You don't want the mop pad to wet carpets and rugs, wet them and possibly damage them, which makes sense. This is why the vacuum cleaner needs to be activated on a hard surface before it can start the cleaning process with the mop pad installed. Although you can choose to manually override this security measure, I don't recommend it.

Unfortunately, this means that you have to manually remove the mop pad every time you want to vacuum a carpeted floor. For floors with mostly hard surfaces, this may not be a big problem, but for one of my levels, from tiles to carpets to hardwoods, it is. Yes, you can remove the mop pad every time you want to switch between surfaces, but I think it goes against the original intention of buying this one. Since one of the main sales features of this system is the ability to automatically handle the entire cleaning process, I strongly recommend buying it only on floors with limited or no carpet at all.

I am not disappointed, but it definitely makes me yearn for the future model, when it switches to the carpet, it can smartly retract or cover the mop pad. If we see something like this in a few years, I won't be surprised.

Although this is a very advanced robotic vacuum system, it sometimes encounters many of the same problems as other Robovacs.

I recall that the main gain of this vacuum cleaner is that it is best suited for hard surfaces. If your floor has a lot of carpets, you might better switch to one of their standard models, because you will lose a lot of convenience this system can provide.

However, if your floor is mostly or completely uncarpeted, Dreamebot W10 is the best vacuum and mop combo. I am very happy to see the future innovations that this brings.
