Hyundai's latest concept car brings its Ioniq electric vehicle program to the forefront. The automaker described the seven sport utility electric vehicles as "clear representatives of Hyundai's commitment to carbon neutrality by 2045."

José Muñoz, President and CEO of Hyundai North America, said: “The SEVEN concept demonstrates Hyundai's creative vision and advanced technology development for the future of our electric vehicles.” Its innovative interior space and environmentally friendly power The system and cutting-edge safety and convenience technologies present an exciting future for Hyundai SUV customers. "

The model is based on the Electric-Global modular platform of Hyundai Motor Group, which is a dedicated pure electric vehicle (BEV) architecture that allows long-wheelbase models to have a flat floor.

Designers prioritize the aerodynamic characteristics of the car in order to give life to shapes traditionally invisible in the automotive field. Its low hood draws attention to the streamlined roof line, and the wheelbase is a hallmark of the model's all-electric power system.

The wheels of this model have active dampers, which can be deployed or retracted according to the cooling requirements of the brakes and the resistance requirements of the vehicle.

At the rear, Ioniq's iconic parametric pixel lighting scheme occupies the center.

Hyundai stated that the target range of the model exceeds 300 miles. On a 350 kW charger, Seven's battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in about 20 minutes.

The SUV adopts a new cabin space approach, placing the new environment above the traditional design. It also has hygienic functions, designed to keep passengers as sterile as possible.

There are coach doors, a driver's seat with a lever that can be hidden when not in use, and a slim integrated screen. Due to the swivel chairs and curved benches, the appearance is more like a lounge than a passenger car.

The specially designed Universal Island console, mini refrigerator, shoe cabinet and multifunctional Smart Hub graphical user interface are also located inside the vehicle.

The panoramic OLED screen displays a variety of content, which can be customized according to mood, desire or taste.

Seven's environmentally friendly materials and hygienic characteristics combine to create a unique living environment. The car’s biological coatings give it luster, while mineral gypsum, bamboo and carpets, biological resins and interior coatings are all based on renewable resources. Antibacterial copper and sanitary-treated fabrics are also distinctive.

The company's sanitary airflow system uses built-in air intakes in the roof rails and pushes them into the cabin through the dashboard vents to isolate the airflow between passengers.

UVC sterilization allows the light to clean the living space of bacteria and viruses.

Seven Concept is widely regarded as the pioneer of the mass production version of the new Ioniq brand model. The company said it intends to introduce three Ioniqs to the US market and has already begun to provide Ioniq 5 to customers. It is expected that this all-electric SUV will use the Ioniq 7 name.

The concept model will be displayed during the Los Angeles Auto Show until November 28.
